MOH-zilla!

So...I saw Bridesmaids recently
and it was hilarious.

I won't give too much away,
because I'm sure you want to see
it and not have it spoiled by me.

I highly recommend this flick,
because it's awesome AND
it has such a great cast!

Kristen Wiig
Maya Rudolph
Melissa McCarthy (aka Sookie in Gilmore Girls)
Rose Byrne
Chris O'Dowd (my favorite Irishman from The IT Crowd)
Jon Hamm (Need I say more?)
Ellie Kemper (The Office!)

And Brits that play Wiig's roommates
in the movie are amazingly funny.

There's a scene in the trailer with them.

"At first I didn't know it was your diary,
it thought it was a sad, handwritten book."

Go and see it.
If you want, I will go again.
Just sayin'.

Sing!

Comic of the day:

I couldn't stop laughing when I saw this one,
so I thought I would share it with you.
And I'm going to start using the word, "skanktown."

And I can't help but always remember the little "poem"
that my social studies teacher taught me in the 7th grade
about the wives of Henry VIII:
"Divorced, Beheaded, Died, Divorced, Beheaded, Survived."

Boom.

Also, I've been thinking about a
little side project that could possibly
be a big project in a few years...

Ever heard of PieLab in Greensboro, AL?

PieLab from PieLab on Vimeo.

It was featured in this month's Bon Appetit
and it's a really neat pie shop (that I've yet to visit).
Anyway, I really love their idea for their shop
and I'm thinking that they need another
branch in Springville, AL.

I've already scouted the town a bit
and there are some really cute storefronts
for rent... that are just begging for a cute pie/cupcake/coffee shop
with a community focus.

Thoughts?

It'll also give me an excuse to get a HUGE kitchen aid stand mixer.
Or multiple smaller ones.
In different colors.
How awesome would that be?
Does anyone want to donate many kitchen aid
stand mixers in different colors to me for this project?

Pretty please?

Ode to Common Sense.

According to Vicki, I am speaking in my "desperate" accent, but it kind of sounds like Bernardo from West Side Story. Anywho, I have been inundated with the dumbest questions today...and I wasn't all that surprised...but I digress.

Question 1:How do I get around the building without walking through your office?
Answer 1: Walk around the building.
Response 1: Oh, ok. Thanks!

Question 2: Is this the Sella-Granata Gallery?
Answer 2: No, it's across the quad in Woods Hall.
Response 2: (Blank stare and arms spread in confusion) Is that a building?
Answer 2: Yes. Across the quad.
Response 2: Ok... (continued blank stare)

I'm sure there will be more dumb questions for the day. However, I wanted to put these gems out there for you to read. You are welcome.

Again, you have to wonder how did some of these kids get into college?
