Humperdinck

I don't understand why no one liked
Rachel's rendition of "Papa Can You Hear Me?"
from Barbra's Yentl on Glee last night.

Frankly I figured people would
have had more to say about the
blasphemy that Finn committed by praying to
a grilled cheese sandwich.

But whatever.

I will agree with Ryan Murphy that teenagers
generally don't understand "religion"
and just try to make do with what they think
they understand.

Even the adults seemed to have a slippery grasp on
what it means to believe and pray.

Both Kurt and Sue Sylvester revealed
that neither believed in God, because of
various reasons where they had been hurt.
Not a shock there.

Definitely cried during Kurt's version of
"I Want To Hold  Your Hand"
while singing about his childhood and his dad.

Moving on...
Can you believe that it's Wednesday already?

Good verse of the day:

Our people must learn to do good by meeting the urgent needs of others; then they will not be unproductive.

You know what really grinds my gears...

Parallel parkers.
There's a whole row of parks
on the road and you take the very middle one
forcing everyone else to park
around you.

Shame on you, ma'am.
Yes, I am generalizing it's
a woman, because seriously,
guys don't do that.

Rant over.

Ok, who loved GLEE
last night?
Anyone?
Anyone?

One of my roommates made fun of me
for watching the show.
ALTHOUGH he admitted to
never having seen it before.
He didn't even know
it was about singing.
What in the world?

He's borrowing my season 1 dvd
pronto.

I also read the latest
issue of my favorite foodie magazine,

October 2010 Table of Contents

It always makes me feel like I'm not enough
of a food snob.

I'm pretty sure I need to find a more whimsical
food and cooking magazine.

Maybe with a cover like this:

I would be a regular subscriber.
And then bake up a storm.
Note: In my new house, there is a loaf pan, cake pans,
and a muffin tin.
Heaven.

Another find of the day from here.

I really need to be a better blog hopper.
I usually just read my regulars for the day
and then I'm done...
Not today!

Toner...

Blank expressions.
That's what I get for telling students that
their teacher is running late.

Not a thank you.
Not a laugh.
Nada.

What's the deal with college students these days?
Am I just getting too old to understand?
Do I sound crotchety at the ripe old age of 26?
What is going on?

Also, I'm adding "Art Handler" to my résumé.
Just so you know.
I could also add "free lance mime,"
since I have to wear white gloves to
handle said art.

Is this art?

If you said yes, then you are my new best friend.
If you said no, then you are probably correct in your assumption
and I hold no ill will toward you.

Question of the day:
Who's excited for Glee?
It's the Britney episode.
Just in case you weren't aware.

Heather Morris and Britney Spears on the set of "Glee"
